On foot, you can visit Kiyomizu Temple, Kodaiji Temple, Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park, Ponto-cho, Jyosei-en (a hole in the wall!), Sanjusangendo, etc. You can go to Kiyomizu-Dera, Kodai-Dera, Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park, Pontocho, Sanjusangendo, etc. on foot and enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto at your own pace without having to take public transportation.
